Oscars 2017 (Live Blogging)
23:18pm - UK time
Hi there! It's finally Oscars Sunday, the night we've been waiting for months. In a few hours, all our questions will have an answer. Will La La Land win all the major categories it's nominated for? Is it really going to be the most diverse Oscars in Hollywood's history? We just have to wait a bit more to find out.
Just like last year, I'll do a live blogging of the event to keep you all posted. I will live tweet as well so follow me @fedbatts, we can have a chat and talk about what's going on at the Dolby Theatre.
23:26pm - UK time
Oscar-nominated Viggo Mortensen and Ruth Negga arrived on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre. Along with them are Sunny Pawar, Hailee Steinfeld, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Gael Garcia Bernal and Glen Powell.
23:38pm- UK time
Best Actor nominee Andrew Garfield hits the red carpet. Emma Roberts and Karlie Kloss are there too. Find a short gallery here.
23:51pm - UK time
You might have noticed that celebrities such as Lin-Manuel Miranda and Ruth Negga are showing a blue ribbon on the red carpet. This is to express solidarity with the American Civil Liberties Unions (ACLU). As EW wrote, Casey Affleck wore a blue ribbon too during the 2017 Independent Spirit Awards and described Donal Trump’s administration as “abhorrent” and “un-American.”
00:19am - UK time
Kristen Dust talks to Variety on the Oscars red carpet: "It's a story none of us knew about (talking about Hidden Figures) which is so shocking and it took so long to get made. [...] It should be in every history book".
Also, Oscar nominee Dev Patel hit the red carpet along with Janelle Monae and Dakota Johnson.
00:39am - UK time
Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee Emma Stone and Best Actress in a Supporting Role nominee Viola Davis hit the Oscars red carpet.
01:07am - UK time
La La Land star and Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling hit the red carpet and talked to Pret-a-Reporter: "It's been such a surprise. I love the film, we loved it while we made it, but we had no idea it would have this kind of reception at all. It's been a nice surprise."
In the meantime, Ryan Gosling is joined on the red carpet by Denzel Washington, Naomie Harris and Mel Gibson.
01:23am - UK time
Just ten more minutes separate us from knowing who will get the coveted golden statuette. From now on I will be posting the winner of each category. Stay tuned and enjoy Hollywood's longest night.

Just like last year's Miss Universe, the Academy announce the wrong winner. Moonlight won Best Picture. And that was the last category of the night. Thank you so much for those who followed this live blog here and on Twitter. A review of the night will follow up soon.
